Meet the Public Scheme
Purposes as follows:
- to provide more opportunities for District Council (‘DC’) members to get in touch with local residents or people working in the district;
- to gain thorough understanding of the opinions and problems faced by citizens through directly getting in touch with the local residents, and to handle or refer their complaints or requests for assistance; and
- to enhance public awareness and solicit public support for Government policies.
"Meet the Public Scheme" will start from 18 January 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on every Thursday at one of the community halls/community centres in Sham Shui Po. DC members will be on duty in pairs. The duty roster for March to May 2025 is as follows:

Note:
- Duty Roster for June to September 2025 will be released and uploaded to the website later.
- Where Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Signal is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory, or where the “extreme conditions” announcement is made by the Government within two hours from the “Meet the Public Scheme”, or such warning or announcement remains in force within two hours from the “Meet the Public Scheme”, the “Meet the Public Scheme” shall be cancelled automatically.
